Encampment Outreach
Varies – Currently Burr Jones & Dutch Mill
Wednesdays
9:00 AM – 11:45 AM
As the COVID-19 Pandemic began, our community saw an increase in people sleeping outside. This formed encampment in many locations. Our team moves with the people, meaning our outreach location varies. Our team during encampment outreach may include a prescriber, nurse, mental health provider, certified nursing assistants, emergency medical technicians, and non-medical volunteers.
The team check in on people and hand out supplies such as food, water, and hygiene products. Providers can offer consultations for people with medical needs and volunteers coordinate care we are not able to provide on-site.
